Park City Introduces Mobile Parking App Powered by Passport

Go Park City app makes paying for parking quicker and easier

Park City, UT (October 11, 2017)– Park City today announced the launch of its mobile parking application, Go Park City, to make paying for parking more convenient. The app was created by Passport, the global parking technology leader who powers the parking apps for large cities like Boston, Salt Lake City, Toronto, Chicago, and Detroit.

Go Park City allows users to quickly and easily pay for parking, as well as:

  • Extend their sessions remotely
  • Keep track of all parking history
  • Receive notifications
  • Get email receipts

“Park City is excited to roll out the app to over 220 parking spaces in downtown to help digitize the parking experience for drivers,” said Kenzie Coulson, manager of fleet and parking at Park City Municipal Corporation. “We want to make it as easy as possible to pay for parking and we hope to reduce traffic congestion.”

“We are thrilled to work closely with the city to bring a personalized parking app to Park City residents and visitors,” said Phil Endres, Sales Executive at Passport.  “Our partnership with the city will help improve the parking experience for drivers through a mobile-first approach.”

The mobile app is currently only available on-street at Main Street in downtown Park City, but will soon expand to off-street parking lots as well.  Drivers will also be able to pay for citations within the app, providing additional utility to the end user.

The Go Park City app is free to download through the App Store and Google Play.
