St. Joseph Introduces Mobile Parking App Powered by Passport

City adds easy and convenient parking payment option

St. Joseph, MI — An easier way to pay for parking is coming to the City of St. Joseph. The City has launched mobile parking application, PassportParking®, powered by Passport, the global leader for parking and transit payments for cities and universities across North America.

The city has added an alternative payment option that allows customers to pay for parking without the hassle of feeding the meter, expands the city’s pay-to-park process, and decreases parking congestion. With the PassportParking app, users can:

  • Pay for parking
  • Get reminders when parking sessions are about to expire
  • Extend parking time remotely
  • View payment history
  • Receive email receipts

“The City of St. Joseph is aiming to make the parking experience as seamless as possible,” said Greg Grothous, assistant director of public works. “By partnering with Passport, we’re excited to integrate our transportation initiatives with a mobile solution that eases common pain points of parking.”

“We’re proud to partner with the City of St. Joseph to introduce a mobile parking solution that improves the parking experience for residents and visitors,” said Mike Mohler, project manager at Passport. “The mobile app provides users with modern functionality to pay, extend, and manage their parking sessions from the convenience of a mobile device.”

The PassportParking app is free to download through the App Store and Google Play. Users can also manage their parking at ppprk.com.
